Epilogue

On May the 7 th 2002 I had an unusual visitation of the Holy Spirit. I had just changed jobs and had a newborn in the house so as you can imagine I was quite busy. One day while at work the Lord began to speak to me about the nature of His kingdom. I was so overwhelmed by the experience that I took off of work and rushed home so I could write down what I was hearing. This continued for about two weeks. This book has been in part a compilation of that experience.

The revelation I was receiving from the Lord was very new to me. Actually it took me a very long time to actually process the information. In truth, what the Lord was revealing to me was the simplicity of the Gospel. How could this be, I thought? I had been in the church a large portion of my life, and what I was experiencing seemed to be so foreign. The revelation in this book changed my life and I believe and hope it has changed yours as well. I realize that this is just a part; but this part (The Gospel) is the most important of all in my opinion. Without it we will quickly forget who we are and why we are here. In today's society, it is imperative that we understand the foundation on which the Lord intends us to live and build on. Everything we say and do must come from this crucial foundation. I'm talking about being a great commission church.

In April of 2005 I had another significant visitation of the Holy Spirit. During this time period I had just finished up with this book, and was using it at my local church as an Evangelism curriculum for the bible college. One night while reading I was suddenly ushered into a vision. At first I thought I was imagining things, but soon realized it was beyond my imagination. The book I was reading was clearly off the subject of the vision. In the vision I was standing in a hallway at the entrance of a door. As the door opened I realized that I was in the presence of important dignitaries, although I have no idea who. The room was dark, and on the outskirts of the room there where men standing in what appeared to be a dimly lit area. It was as though they were standing at attention. The setting appeared to be a war room. In the middle of the room was a man looking down at a table that had a map and tools on it. There was a light shining down on the table. I immediately realized that it was the Lord. His determination and stature was beyond description. As I stood there He looked up at me while He rolled up the map in His hands, and this is what He said; “I am in a hurry. Warn my people to observe all that I've commanded.” As He spoke this to me He handed me the map and then gave me a small bag of tools that were on the table next to Him. And then He handed me the tools and simply said, “GO”! And that was it. This vision was a summary of this book. Within this book is contained the timeless commandments of the great commission. The great commission is not a great suggestion, and I believe with all my heart that this was the reason for the warning. We can no longer take God's Word as a mere suggestion. We will all give an account for our obedience as leaders and laymen.

For years now the Church has emphasized who we are in Christ, and without a doubt this is very important. However this in itself will not accomplish the mandate we have been sent to accomplish. I believe that we the church, are now entering into what could be termed as “the kingdom establishing age.” This is the final period before the Lord Jesus will return for His bride and then set up His Kingdom in the earth. What could we compare this to? I believe that a good example would be that of John the Baptist. John the Baptist announced the Savior and the coming Kingdom. We the Church are a similar voice in the 21 st century announcing the coming King and His Kingdom. I believe that before He comes that the Church will announce His coming to the ends of the earth. I believe that every land in every arena of life will hear this truth before the end.

In closing I want to pray a simple prayer for you, from my heart to yours. I pray that you would begin to feel the heart of God for those around you. Lord God I pray that for every man, woman and child reading this, that you would move upon their hearts, deeply imbedding in their souls the purpose you have intended for them. I call forth the gift of God inside you to come forth. I declare in the name of Jesus that you would come alive on the inside with the eternal purpose of God. I bind the fear of man and the religious bondage off of your life that would try to keep you captive. I call forth the gift of God inside you. I declare that you will go forth and accomplish all the Lord has intended. Lord I pray that you would seal the words of this book in their hearts; that the foundation of your Kingdom and the truth of your commandments would be on the forefront of all they say, do, and build. Lord I pray that for every pastor and leader reading this that you would give them the courage and tenacity to rise up and be the great commission church you are calling them to be. Lord I thank you for each one and I pray that you would bless each one with the ability, resources, and time to do all that you've called them to in the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Lord Jesus may you come quickly. Amen
